Pressetext:
Element Talks – Everything you always wanted to know about designer’s work but were too afraid to ask.

The third edition of the biggest design conference in Poland is here! Last year it has gathered over 1500 participants. This is the one and only conference in Europe aimed at helping their participants navigate the job market ant showing the backstage of the design profession. The speakers shed some light on what great success is made of and “how to be a designer without losing one’s soul”.

This year's edition will take place on the 23. to 24. April 2016 in an exceptional venue which used to be a print house – Praska Drukarnia in Warsaw. Around 2000 international participants from design industry are awaited – mostly graphic designers but also product, web or UX designers, animators, managers and copy writers. Topics  revolve around practical and financial aspects of creative industries. Some keywords include: negotiation, pricing of one's work, copyright, contact with clients, networking, best practices, best tools and software.

The delegates and speakers include Polish and international experts, advertising agencies, business gurus, PR and branding celebrities and many more. During the two-day conference they’ll hold an array of consultations, workshops and meetings. The lectures will be given by, among others, New York-based design duo – Anton&Irene, Bruno Sellés – founder and creative director of Barcelona-based studio – Vasava, the founder of Whitecat studio and UEG fashion brand – Michał Łojewski and trend analist and Dutch Design Week co-organizer – Zuza Skalska. The conference will also host numerous stars and specialists in the field of productivity and finance such as the creator of a time-management application – Michael Śliwiński.
Apart from lectures our participants will also be able to take part in various workshops – either day-long or short ones, which will take place during the conference. The event gathers each year both designers with a dozen years of work experience and students. The programme of the conference will be divided into two levels: elementary and advanced – in order to address the needs of all of the participants.
The novelty and certainly one of the highlights of the edition is the Element Interview – a  simulation of job interviews led by the representatives of top Polish design studios and agencies. After the meeting each applicant will be given a feedback by the potential employer, which might help the anxious practise and prepare themselves for real-life interview. Just as in previous editions the participants will have a chance of taking part in private consultations with the speakers. This year the networking space will be even bigger in order to facilitate socialisation and encourage people to exchange business cards with each other during the breaks.
