LINO Issue 14

Author:

LINO’s Issue 14 is packed full of fascinating stories about exceptional
people, their works, their trials and tribulations, their successes and
awards.

They have a special focus this issue on the works of great French talents. They take a
look into Paris Underground: A Hidden World of Art, Music and Writing...
... and review the somewhat eclectic public impact of Francois Verdet and Christelle
Chambre, the duo that is Kanardo - young, urban, hip, pop and fearless. They
congratulate Pierre Bernard, winner of the 2006 Erasmus Prize for his design
contribution to European culture and society. The French, of course, are
also very much about good food, so nothing could be more appropriate than to
celebrate the first Sydney French Rendez-vous with French food prepared
especially by Executive Chef of Aqua Dining - Jeff Turnbull. Designed for
the pages of LINO, Jeff has created a celebration of French cuisine.

Ruark Lewis presents a mix of mediums full of allegory and cynicism with,
appropriately enough, musings of politicians and the media - a fascinating
artist. Enjoy more art from Dane Lovett and Wayde Owen (“I can’t really
paint pretty pictures… what I want to do is squeeze myself into or out of
the works”) and the photography of Patrick Neu, Matt Reed and Jason
Kimberley.
