Plazm ist ein Design- und Kultur-Magazin aus Portland, das ich gerade in die Hände bekam. Die Nummer 28 ist mit knapp 150 Seiten die dickste Ausgabe, die das Magazin bisher hervorgebracht hat. Die Inhalte zeigen die Vielseitigkeit des Mags: Interviews, Zeichnungen, Poster und Packaging Art...

Plazm gibt es inzwischen seit immerhin 15 Jahren. Gratulation zu dieser Leistung. Ich wünsche noch ein „langes und gesundes Leben“ sowie Euch allen einen guten Start in 2007!!!

ABOUT PLAZM
Founded in 1991 by artists as a creative resource, Plazm publishes an eclectic design and culture magazine with worldwide distribution and operates an innovative type foundry. Plazm is also a design firm that builds identities, advertising, interactive and retail experiences using custom typography. Plazm authored the book XXX: The Power of Sex in Contemporary Design, and is working on a new series of books about creative expression on the margins of culture. Current projects include a Plazm monograph, a twenty-plus variation customized global type identity for Nike and a fourty-two color silkscreen print of The Last Supper.

Plazm was listed in 1997 in ID magazine as one of the world’s 40 most influential design firms and has been featured in numerous publications and award shows including the 100 show, AIGA national show, the Art Director’s Club, Eye, Communication Arts, Graphis, and IDEA. Plazm received the creative resistance award from Adbusters in 2001. Plazm partners regularly present work internationally, teach, create workshops and judge competitions. Plazm magazine has been published since 1991 and the complete catalog is included in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
