Typotopografie, 7: Shanghai
The magazine on design, typography and print art in urban centres
As a cosmopolitan city, Shanghai offers an impressive panorama of encounters: Yesterday and today, traditional Chinese elements and modern advertising landscapes are just as present there as East and West, the encounter of visual cultures, designs and writings.
This volume of our series “Typotopografie” gives an insight into the cultural melting pot of the city. You will learn about the Lilangs, Shanghai Style, Emoticons and up-and-coming type designers. This special project could be realized in cooperation with Roman Wilhelm, part of the group “Shanghai-Flaneur.”
