Small Logo Club at Slanted Publishers
On July 9, Slanted Publishers had the pleasure of hosting the Small Logo Club for an evening of conversation and design. The Small Logo Club creates opportunities for creatives to visit different studios, connect with one another, and gain a look behind the scenes at the work of each host.
From 7:00 PM onwards, guests arrived, settled in, and took the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas before the evening continued with a presentation about Slanted Publishers, our journey, and the evolution of our work over the years. Beyond sharing our history, we also offered insights into the realities of independent publishing, explaining the creative process as well as the challenges and decisions involved in producing magazines and books. It was a chance to talk openly about what happens behind the scenes and what it takes to bring each publication to life. Throughout the presentation, a selection of magazines, books, and other publications was passed around, allowing guests to experience the projects firsthand.
Afterwards, everyone was invited to explore our office, take a closer look at our shelves and archive, and continue conversations about typography, editorial design, publishing, and creative practice.
As the warm summer evening unfolded, conversations continued over drinks and a small buffet, creating plenty of space for informal exchanges, new connections, and a closer look at the publications. Before leaving, guests had the opportunity to put together a goodie bag with a selection of magazines, prints, and other small items.
Thank you to the Small Logo Club for including Slanted Publishers in its studio visit series, and thank you to everyone who joined us for such an inspiring evening. We look forward to welcoming you back to Slanted Publishers soon.
