Give me more average speed

A rush of speed and adrenaline is at the heart of this cycling jersey design. Starting from a common concept and desire in cycling–the pursuit of high average speeds–I transformed a Gothic-style typeface to give the phrase the aesthetic and form of blood in motion. Why blood? In cycling, when approaching the anaerobic threshold, the body often experiences that sensation of blood in the mouth. As for the imagery, the composition with racehorses running free further reinforces this fast-paced feel
