Slanted Magazine #48—Seoul offers a vivid insight into South Korea’s contemporary creative scene, exploring everything from graphic design, typography, and visual communication to architecture, product design, and digital media.
Featuring experimental approaches, innovative typography, and compelling visual storytelling, the issue brings together outstanding work by designers, illustrators, and artists from Seoul, across South Korea, and beyond. Many contributions were submitted through the international Call for Entries, reflecting the diversity and creative energy of the scene. Essays and articles explore cultural influences such as K-pop, fashion, technology, and urban life.
A special highlight is a series of portraits featuring 16 studios and creatives visited by the Slanted team: 6699Press, AABB, bokdo, Bowyer, Choong-geun Yoon, Chris Ro, Daeki and Jun, DDBBMM, Everyday Practice, Hezin O, Ordinary People, Paika, Rojotype, Sparks Edition, Major Minority and WORKS. Complementing the portraits, video interviews with the same creatives will be released gradually over the coming weeks, offering deeper insights into their work, ideas, and inspirations. Additional 10 × 10 interviews and essays further explore Seoul’s creative ecosystem.
