ROOOOAAAARRRR! Die erste MONSTERBOX ist da!

MONSTERBOX ist eine Kollektion von außergewöhnlichen Monster-Illustrationen, die auf hochwertigem Karton in je 3 unterschiedlichen Sonderfarben gedruckt wurden. Insgesamt beinhaltet die Box 150 Notizkarten, auf deren Vorderseite je ein Monster, Name und URL des Illustrators bzw. der Illustratorin abgebildet ist sowie die verwendeten HKS-Sonderfarben. Auf der Rückseite ist Platz für Notizen oder kleine Nachrichten.

Der Clou: Durch den Einsatz von je 3 Sonderfarben pro Karte und den jeweiligen Farbinfos, lassen sich die Karten wunderbar als Farbmuster nutzen und zeigen, wie unterschiedlich man mit Sonderfarben umgehen und welche Wirkung beim Überdrucken entstehen kann. Und wer genug von den Informationen hat, trennt einfach unterhalb des Monsters Farb- und Textangaben an der Perforation ab.

Die präsentierten IllustratorInnen sind einem vorhergegangenen Call for Entries im März 2014 gefolgt und haben zahlreiche und faszinierende Monster aus aller Welt eingereicht, die mit den unterschiedlichsten Techniken illustriert wurden. 150 Monster wurden für die MONSTERBOX ausgewählt – sie stammen aus Australien, Belgien, Finnland, Frankreich, Deutschland, Israel, Kanada, Kuba, Mexico, Niederlande, Polen, Südkorea, Schweiz, Spanien,Thailand, Türkei, United Kingdom und den USA. An dieser Stelle ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle teilnehmenden Freigeister, ohne deren Fantasie die MONSTERBOX niemals so bunt geworden wäre, wie sie nun ist.

Thus, each of the 88 HKS basic colours has 39 variations, yielding a total of 3,520 colours. All of the colours shown on the guides can be mixed as ot colours and supplied by HKS printing-ink plants or licensed partners.

COLOURMATCH 
Colourmatch is a periodical published by HKS®  the offset printing colour system, to publicise a small selection of the 3,520 HKS colours. Each issue presents a different topic in a specific typographic style. Most of the fonts are produced by smaller type foundries and are shown to their full advantage when printed in spot colours. Since launching Colourmatch, HKS® no longer uses any product advertising printed in conventional process colours. Its Colourmatch periodical is a collectable, inspiring medium. Every issue is painstakingly printed in five spot colours and can be subscribed to free of charge at www.hks-farben.de.
