Fresh ideas, bold concepts, and pure creative firepower: From November 6 to 8, 2026, the Faculty of Design at TH Mannheim brings the Alte Feuerwache to a full blaze with its annual Werkschau.
For three days, the venue transforms into the epicenter for emerging design talent. It is about taking a stand rather than making a copy—showcasing work that proves attitude, dares to speak out, and sparks real change. On display are projects spanning communication design, interactive media, and uncompromising spatial concepts.
Program Overview
Friday, Nov 6, 12—19h
Kick-off featuring exhibitions, talks, portfolio reviews (guided tours for school groups upon registration), and the Loser Camp with Grimme Award winners Nikita Fedosik and Moritz Henneberg (butty.Studio GmbH).
Saturday, Nov 7, 12—18h
Public exhibition, talks, and hands-on workshops—including the font workshop Type Yourself with Fred Wolter (BZGUS Berlin).
Sunday, Nov 8, 12—17h
Public exhibition and ongoing program.
“For us, design doesn’t mean just blending in; it means taking a stand. We want to present work that pushes boundaries, moves people, and makes a real statement,” says the Werkschau team.
