Art-Student-Athlete

Art-Student-Athlete chronicles the near 125 history of organized basketball teams at the Rhode Island School of Design. Created in conjunction with his 2026 Senior Thesis project, Ryan Scott covers the narrative and visual evolution of basketball at RISD, including interviews with former players, coaches, and RISD staff. The book employs many unique print techniques from letterpress to screenprint and draws inspiration from the visual language and textures of sports fandom throughout.
