In early 2016, the Melville Brand Design team decided to take time for this special project and celebrate these designers and hobbyists of the revived old school. The team, led by Michael Schmidt (Project Manager and Director of Melville), put a lot of research work into the Raw Bible. The fact that the Melville team shares their enthusiasm for quality and craftsmanship with the brands that made it into the book is quickly apparent when browsing the Raw Bible.
