International Assembly
Design, creativity, informality, brilliance and friendship.
The International Assembly is an unmissable design and creative festival, kicking off with our all-day creative conference. Join International Assembly for a day of inspiration with some of the most exciting thinkers and makers in graphic design, branding, coding, animation, art, advertising and beyond.
On the conference day exciting speakers take the stage such as Emily Oberman from Pentagram, the iconic M/M (Paris)—celebrated for their boundary-pushing collaborations with artists like Björk and Madonna—London design studio OK-RM, Annie Atkins, the designer behind many of Wes Anderson’s graphic worlds, and Studio Yukiko from Berlin, among many more.
This years conference will take place in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall in their main auditorium. Connected to the auditorium is an all-day bar and festival marketplace where visitors can explore pop-up stores, connect with partners and socialise. Beyond the one-day conference, the festival unfolds through workshops and conversations: from explorations in type design, poster making, and 3D sculpture to open discussions such as “Are we doomed as designers?” and “Nitty Gritty: What the fuck is going on in the Scottish Design Industry.” The program also includes portfolio reviews by Warriors Studio, and an International Poster Exhibition, and, in true local spirit, a festival ceilidh to close the day.
