“Misto” means “city” in Ukrainian. It’s a reverse-contrast display typeface inspired by the designer’s hometown of Slavutych — the youngest city in Ukraine, which was born after the Chornobyl explosion.
Misto’s squat, expansive letterforms draw inspiration from the shapes of the city’s low, wide buildings modernist architecture, and museum sign, and also reflect the youthful character of Slavutych.

Vasyl Sukhomlynsky was a Ukrainian teacher, publicist, writer, poet. His pedagogical concept is highly humane and democratic, organically combines classical and folk pedagogy.
The portrait of Sukhomlynsky contains a blooming field which represents those generations of individuals who were able to express themselves to the fullest understanding the influence of his ideas.

This poster is dedicated to Ukraine’s struggle for independence. For this poster was recreated Illustration by Yaroslav Gordinsky, which was found on the cover of a magazine from 1930. The font used for the heading design was inspired by the works of Ukrainian graphic artist Oleh Snarsky.
