This bird represents Ukraine: unbroken, elegant and beautiful, flying forward, with disconnected parts that still belong to it.

This book tells 50 stories. Each of them touched the whole country of Ukraine. Some boosted morale, others provided entertainment even in the toughest days. Many shocked the whole world with their tragedy. Ukraine: 50 symbols of resistance takes a close look at the important images, events, personalities, and even memes that emerged from this war. The book was published in Ukrainian and English with 50 unique illustrations by Mari Kinovych. All money from sales goes to charity.

The most difficult period since the beginning of the full-scale invasion was to leave my hometown. Many of my fellow citizens are experiencing this now, and it hurts us. These illustrations are the iconic places of my home, which for me, for the residents of Kharkiv and all Ukrainians become symbols of the invincibility of our country. Kharkiv, I love you infinitely, you are my heart and soul.

Our collection was dedicated to the historical and ethnographic regions of Ukraine — from East to West, from South to North. In this collection, we celebrate the landscapes and the uniqueness of our country. All sweaters were sold at charity auctions, and their design gave a start to other collections — of scarves and blankets.

When we walk with our own feet but are guided by someone else’s will – we become a fish on the hook.

Drawing for me is freedom of expression. Nothing extra – no bunch of materials, tools, frames and paints – just a pen, paper and you. Anywhere and anytime. In drawing, I can go with the flow, putting aside the planning and preparatory work. It’s like singing, only with your hands.

Nowhere is safe.

A series of illustrations dedicated to Ukrainian workers during the russian invasion. Surgeons, firefighters, electrical workers, train attendants and many more…​​​​​​​ They still do their job every day despite the danger, shelling and blackouts.

The work is homage to ‘Coal flower’ mosaic by Alla Horska. The mosaic is located in Sorokine town, Luhansk region (currently occupated by Russians). It’s a dream to see it, especially for Yulia — she was a refugee from Donbas since 2014.

Zhenya’s work, as well as Synchronized studio approach she’s leading, could be described as combination of commercial problems solving and creative explorations of ideas, visual strategies and innovative experiences.

Clear Sky is an illustrative composition that depicts a scene of tranquility and peace in the symbolic palette of the sky and fields, mirroring the flag of Ukraine. The author aimed to visualize the harmony and authentic tenderness of the country through her personal perspective, printed on risograph.

Give Peace A Chance. Peace will be won by Ukraine’s Victory over terrorist Russia. The Price of Peace is very high, there are huge losses and sacrifices. But unshakable Faith in Victory gives us Hope for Life

All Inclusive Design or Design of Everything – this is how we like to identify what we do. Our work is serious and funny, visually concise and may contain overthinking.

The basic idea is that any work in any field of human activity, requires immersion in the process to get the result. In addition, it is very important to approach this creatively, resulting in something really interesting and even revolutionary. Jiu-jitsu is a very clear example and tool for this practice. This discipline is able to change, educate and enrich the student’s personality with interesting habits.

Since the war started there’s been a lot of pain, despair, and tears but there are also wonderful and inspiring stories about brave people that lift spirits and unite Ukrainians even more. All over the Tree of Life, which is a main element of the illustration, and protected by united Ukrainians standing shoulder to shoulder at the base of it, there are characters from these stories.

after the Russian army blew up the dam in Nova Kakhovka, the city of Kherson sank under water. This terrorist act became the biggest man-made catastrophe in recent decades. I couldn’t stay away and made this minimalistic poster to get attention from the design community.
