our home is being destroyed and that’s how it feels every day
Life will be reborn
This work symbolizes the revival of life in cities destroyed by Russia.
Ukrainian Madonna
“Ukrainian Madonna” is the personification of all mothers who had to hide in bomb shelters with their children. The illustration was made from a photo of a real girl nursing a baby in the Kyiv metro. For a long time this work was in the temple of Naples, near which the priests conducted services in support of Ukraine
Icon / Ікона
An attempt to look at the icon from a different angle and embrace imperfection of pieces that make it.

Green heart
Alona started to create these patterns during the period of life when her life changed a lot. She picked up a brush and looked for an outlet for emotions, thoughts. Alona wanted to create rather than show pain, there was enough of it around. So she was looking for a foothold, the creation of this series is very meaningful to her. And she wants to share these emotions with you.

Who’s gonna live / Who will be cornered
This work is a tribute to a popular ukrainian metal band called TOL from 00’s. A phrase (translated) is a chorus from an iconic song “Самознищення” (Self Destruction). A rhetorical question of the song acquired a new meaning today. The frontman of the group (Vasyl Pereverzev) is on the frontline right now fighting for our freedom.

Вимір Кожного / Vymir Kozhnoho
Vymir Kozhnoho (Everyone’s Measurement) is a word play of Everyone’s Choice (Vybir Kozhnoho) in ukrainian language. Each of the Ukrainians affects the war in one way or another, and it is everyone’s choice to help or forget their homeland forever. However, it is important to remember that your actions can affect the future of both you and your country.

THROUGH THE STIGMA
A poster about psychosocial disability. A silhouette of a person is seen through the names of mental illnesses to create a frame. This demonstrates one type of stigma, where others perceive a person because of their illness rather than their personality.
One year of the full-scale war
Independence day
You don’t appreciate the independence until someone tries to take it away from you. Ukrainians are paying with their lives for it.
Outside the Quadrangle
I collected photos of every room in which I had to live during 3 months of constant moving during the full-scale war. The lens of my camera divided the personal space. Having become a complete copy of concrete photos of apartments, the 3D model visualizes the fragmentation and selectivity of the photographic eye, pic exposes space to separate processes, as covid, the social networks and war do.
