It has been a year since I had to move out of my home, the last memory of the landscape out of my window is still in my mind, yet fading slowly. It was October, the golden month. And I decided to revisit this memory of mine to give it another life. Жовтень – October, my favorite month of the year. This memory is forever embedded in the pixels of this poster now.

After all, something will be born from the caterpillar… I hope something good will finally happen for our fate and the planet…

Blood Agents is a nonprofit organization, which focuses on educating people about blood donations and helping with being a regular blood donor. A large base of volunteers, visits to medical institutions, corporate donations, and thematic art projects of this organization turn blood donation into a powerful volunteer movement. Every year an illustration contest about donation is held to encourage people to donate blood. This poster was created as a part of the contest.

These are the super cutie pie drawings for Thai Charity Market, where 12 dogs from the Gostomel shelter (Kyiv region) were looking for their own warm and friendly families. Lesia Maruschak’s art book memorializes the 1932-33 famine in Ukraine. Maruschak has transformed her knowledge of this period into an art book. It is a metaphor for memory, which is increasingly seen, as not as simple recall. This is a mental function by which information is continuously stored, organized, and changed. The art book got a Prix at Kyiv’s Arsenal International Book Festival (2019).

On this poster I drew a symbol of courage, stability and indomitability of the Ukrainian people – the Monument “Motherland”, which is located in the capital of Ukraine – Kyiv. Although there is now a war in our country, we remain strong and independent.

‘Home. Memories’ is an art installation that was designed around an old defunct fuel tank at the Ukrainian Vernadsky Research Base. The installation represents a typical Ukrainian house – one associated with grandmotherly coziness. A thin detailed frame around the tank resembles a pencil sketch: as if someone, reminiscing, draws their childhood home from memory. The tank’s walls are adorned with a mini exposition with symbolic mementos from Ukraine encapsulated in epoxy resin.

There were potters in the artist’s Ukrainian family, which is why her last name is Honcharenko. She often turns to pottery motifs in her works as in this art piece.

In Ukraine, there is a problem with the arbitrariness of the police against young people. This is especially true for the LGBTQ+ community. The poster shows a caricature of a policeman.

Difficult times of war encourage us to realize our desires. It is important for an artist to document her experience in any form. The chosen form is a book that represents life, path and hopes.

Both of my homelands are either occupied or subjected to daily shelling by russia. These are the places where all my strengths, quirks, and vulnerabilities were born. It feels as though someone is erasing my past—the very places where I grew up and discovered the world.
In response, I’ve decided to preserve my memories through illustrations to ensure they are never lost. This project is titled “I am falling from a tall tree,” reflecting both my childhood experiences and the way I currently feel.

When delving into the history of the earliest animation devices, Anastasiia discovered a new potential of typography in motion. Her journey began with the creation of simple visual concepts for each phenakistoscope, bringing letters and words to life. She infused her work with the beauty of Cyrillic letters and drew inspiration from Ukrainian poetry, transforming the study of animation’s roots into a vibrant hand-drawing exploration of typography in motion.
