As an installation artist and engineer, the artist meticulously documents the entire process, from drawings and blueprints to fabrication and installation. This project dedicates 16 pages per artwork to densely capture every stage of the process. This documentation method will continue as an ongoing series, with the ultimate goal of compiling the accumulated archives into a single, comprehensive volume.

Gyeonggi Artist Highlights 2024 focuses on two artists. The identity uses their names as core elements, deconstructing letters and integrating symbolic motifs to achieve visual balance. The catalog features a symmetrical, two-way structure, ensuring equal weight for both artists and an immersive reading experience from either side.

The Spark of Evolution by Kim Jin-woo commemorates Korea’s last match factory. The artist symbolically colored the factory space yellow and installed “match trees” growing within it. This yellow serves as the core of the exhibition’s identity. The catalog sequentially documents the artist’s process, capturing the passion and philosophical depth of the project.

The Tourist is a series of moving posters exploring displacement and adaptation. Using 3D-scanned self-portraits, slogans, and found imagery, it visualises a fragmented inner state shaped by fear and loneliness. Distorted elements are suspended in tension, reflecting the fragile process of adjusting to a new environment. Sound recordings from Basel extend the work, adding atmospheric depth. The project was presented at BYOB Basel in May 2023.

In March 2023, I did the graphic works for “Sonderpop”, which is the local fashion pop - up store in Basel that is organized by the local art group “Sondershop3000”.
The SonderPOP logotype manifested with the concept of reinterpreting Haettenschweiler’s typeface : “Sacral Letter”. The AR poster, which consist of diverse overlapped images, was designed to convey a kind of “POP” experience by utilizing creative coding. “The Most Beautiful Book Spines in Korea” is an online exhibition created in 2022 for Professor Choi Seong-min’s course at the University of Seoul Graduate School. Parodying reviews from an existing website, it focuses on the spines of The Most Beautiful Books in Korea. As one part of a book, the spine suggests the whole. This exhibition aims to serve as a back-scratcher for the itch of design.

U+1D177 is the Unicode character for the slur. 〈U+1D177: The Great Adventure of the Slur〉 is a single glyph made by combining conjunctions from different languages that share the meaning of the Korean particle “~와” (the same as “and”), which links words on equal footing. In 《Gridshift》—a character, a sentence, and a melody—I wanted this work to act like a connective particle, linking the other pieces equally and moving freely between words, like Super Mario.
