After fertilisation

To exist, although at the same time not to exist.
It is genetically impossible for hybrids to reproduce themselves.
They can perform the sexual act, even though the sexual urge is not strong.
Males are always infertile; occasionally fertile females occur.
Uncommon however not impossible, and with the duty to die in the end.

Allies & Champions 1&2

The “Allies & Champions” collection is for anyone who believes the fight for humanity, liberty and justice is mandatory. It is their proclamation. Join the movement.

Designing this collection I was inspired by Kimberly Williams Crenshaw’s theory of “intersectionality” where systems of oppression– such as racism, sexism, classism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia and belief-based bigotry– do not act independently of each other. Rather these forms of oppression interrelate creating a system that reflects the “intersection” of multiple forms of discrimination.

The Hambach Forest

At first sight it is only a forest.

The trees grow together, they displace each other, struggle for light and yet keep a respectful distance.

The Hambach forest is also a scene of political events. Here the question is being fought over who will be allowed to grow in the future?

On closer inspection of the forest, the deeper one looks into it, the different positions of contemporary society become clearer, spread out and form an almost impenetrable network.

Let’s start from scratch

We are at a turning point. For the first time in 75 years, there is once again the opportunity to start from scratch after the COVID-19 crisis and tackle the major problems: climate change, the environment, discrimination and poverty. It seems like math: what possibilities do you add, subtract, multiply or share with each other to achieve progress in this new society to be made?

Square, Circle, Triangle

Basic shapes, all different but indespensable to form a holistic impression of a complex image. To make a society work and coexist, it is necessary to accept the personal differences and different opinions that make us unique and give more room for the thoughts of others in your own mind.

NEW!NOW!

It is time to change the perspective with which we have seen the future so far and to reinterpret new values for our society and our Earth. Each of us has a small role in this great revolution. We are still in time, now!

Exitation

We exist, if we are outside, with the sun, surrounded by the people we care about, in nature. Now the feeling is to leave as soon as possible to meet, to embrace each other, to exist and to coexist.

Be kind, be color blind

In sociology, a color blind society is one where racial classification does not limit a person’s opportunities. Such societies are free from differential legal or social treatment based on their race or color. A color blind society has race-neutral governmental policies that reject discrimination in any form in order to promote the goal of racial equality. (Color blind, Wikipedia, may 26, 2020)

CoExit

If we want to coexist, even if we want to exist we need to give up some of our habits. So exiting from some of our habits is essential for our future, most probably we need to exit coal mining or we need to exit nuclear power. Exit is also a term that we look for, during times of emergency. An exit can be a gate to a more secure place. In such times as we now live, we need to find some exits so we can promise a better future or at least a similar future as ours to new generations.

Connected – but at what price?

Coexistence also means paying attention to our interpersonal interaction, our human behaviour and consumption of content and products in the digital space – more than ever in times of COVID-19.
Social media, video calls, platforms for exchange and online shops connect us, give us pleasure, enrich us with knowledge and lure us with attractive prices.
But on the other hand, these media can also be deceptive. The line between truth and fake news, the behaviour of people in »real life« and in the digital space, good will and trickery is becoming increasingly blurred.
We may enjoy, but must remain vigilant to handle our »new life« together in the digital space.

To be bold, it’s time to rethink

In order to guarantee sustainable coexistence, we need to reevaluate our priorities. At the moment we strongly rely on the development of a capitalistic state. We profit of this development with comfort and luxury, yet it leaves us in a fragile state of uncertainty as soon as we run into an economical, political or other social hickup. We strive for a high quality standard of living but fear of future is counterproductive for that matter. That means it is necessary to make sure we create a system that thrives on compassion and collective thinking. If we realize the potential of working with each other and with our community we can create a more effective, stable and safer environment, that c
