A study investigating how the process of an analog material changing over time can affect Arabic/Latin letterforms.
solit
solit is a sound-based writing system and typeface that bridges the gap between English spelling and pronunciation. It uses segments of Latin letters to systematically create new glyphs representing sounds, enhancing intuitive comprehension by balancing the desire for novelty and familiarity in type design.
Plot
The project explores the experimental use of analog tools repurposed for new graphic outputs. A laser cutter was modified to act as a writing instrument, but it cannot lift the writing tool, often crossing through the text. Thus, a new typeface was designed to meet these constraints. The project „Plot“ demonstrates how technical limitations can be leveraged to create typographic solutions.
The sound of letters
We all sound like letters. Letters form into sounds, sentences, everything is very distinctive. AI helped create a connection in these worlds.
IntAct Making Things
The graphic explores music notes and graphic notation, using existing elements to create new graphics with the principle of Making “M”aking to create Things.
Same story – Multiple iterations
How can type, layout, and shape add additional meaning to a piece of text?
Climate change is real
While climate change is real and the challenges are significant, there are numerous opportunities to transition to a more sustainable and resilient world.

What will artificial intelligence tell us?
She kept prompting and prompting the AI to write in a language that was both familiar and unfamiliar. The analysis of artificial intelligence and the special effects of Photoshop are presented in this work.
Break down the walls
A visual study that employs the grid and typography to convey and illustrate the transgression of social boundaries.
“Letters are signs for sound”, Eric Gill.
Exploring how the form of letters changes due to sounds by capturing the vibrations that occur using a plastic bag, water, classic music, and a camera. Diving into playful typography, both literally and metaphorically.
Material vs Sensation
Weightlessness? Lightness? Metal? Close or far? On the surface or in space? Writing something or flying? AI helped me create these interesting and strange searches.
Going Viral
This piece of experimental type is the title illustration for an editorial piece about a drag queen exploring the relationship between internet virality and a positive HIV diagnoses. The piece will be featured in a new publication called Physical Release and will be distributed by ASHwell, a sexual health and wellness organization based in Austin, Texas.

contemplate
Within the chaos of daily life, letters and words blend into a grid of confusing shapes. It is necessary to stop and admire the surroundings, then contemplate: to find meaning and direction, in which the act of contemplation, pause and reflection is hidden in silence, to catch a breath and appreciate the harmony hidden in the mess.

FILTH
Maite Oswald, a design student, explores AI’s role in graphic design. She asks, “How dirty is the use of AI? Are we, as designers, rendering ourselves obsolete or is AI just a tool that can’t replace true creativity?” She is currently working on a series of posters featuring AI-generated typography. Each poster is composed of several AI-generated images, which have been meticulously retouched and edited. Where does AI end and her creative process begin, and does using AI make her a ‘nasty girl’?
Outline
Experiment with letter shapes. An attempt to make an inscription with one movement of the hand. The line draws either forms or counterforms between the letters.
Plant lovers
The shape of the letters is based on the leaves of different indoor plants.

NUCLEUS
Stiva Kornfeld’s project “Nucleus” delves into experimental typography inspired by his fascination with organic cell structures. By pushing the boundaries of digital design tools, Kornfeld generates new, unexpected forms that challenge traditional design norms. “Nucleus” shows how accidents and imprecision can lead to innovative designs, offering a fresh perspective on type creation. This project highlights the fusion of technology and creativity, embodying experimental graphic design.
BT Flimmer – A Flickering Display Font
BT Flimmer is a distorted display font developed by photographing letters through a textured vase filled with water. By turning the vase slightly after each photo, a series of multiple versions of the same letter were created. This process created flickering and restless looking characters. Each letter and number offers 4 variations (including the standard version) wich are swapped automatically using contextual alternates, leading to variation in the look of the written text.
