By adding an algorithmic layer on top of COLRv1 fonts, Homo Scriptus delivers, digital textile, which can be used for wearables. For this collection, Underware worked closely with the Dutch fashion designer and artist Tessa Bekker. This collection has 33 unique models, which are based on the subject write, copy, play. All models are build upon the typeface Plakato and are sold as unique NFTs on OpenSea.
“Death Will Not Kill You”, is a piece designed in response to the tough times in life. Losing a loved one makes your heart grow bigger, as they now reside there forever, they remain alive within you. It is also a commentary on artists, who fight against the odds, build a space for themselves, they are a true inspiration. Their art, their presence, does not die with them, they live on in their art, through their art, forever.
“We are born artisans as we are born geometricians, and indeed we are geometricians only because we are artisans.” Inspired by the philosophy of Henri Bergson, this series of prints explores perception, the time that creates structures, and creative, artistic creation. It was created as a complement to Dora Balla’s doctoral thesis and was presented as part of the Printa gallery collection. The typography and geometry-based graphics were screen printed in silver on the t-shirts.
Lehmann feels strongly attracted to words, and always wonders how much language constitutes our reality. In the last twenty years he has explored written texts in metaphorical and aesthetic dimensions, in order to present language as a material object, embodied in our lives. Using the cut-out technique, his works invites the reader to unpredictable text discoveries. His work “Cortazar’s shirt” belong to the series “Attires”, in which he created clothes using fragments of texts of writers.
Embodying the rebellious spirit of underground and graffiti culture, our OPR Club Sticker Bomber Jacket design speaks volumes through its custom typefaces inspired by the vibrant energy of street stickers. Each letter, a testament to individuality and urban expression, converges to form a tapestry of authenticity, representing a community unbound by convention and driven by creativity.
1401 is a Poster-Calendar-Blanket design that tells a new visual story with every date and event of the year. It also captures and combines typography with art, science, philosophy, and astrology, inspired by a range of fascinating Persian books and old manuscripts.
This t-shirt design was created for the journey to the OFFF festival in Barcelona in 2024.
BàT (Bon à Tirer) is the name in French for a ready-to-print file. These days you can work from anywhere, so the BàT file can even be produced while working at the beach.

“Human Typer” is a performance art piece where the artist, adorned with alphabet stamps, prints letters onto a large sheet, reflecting on the world’s pace. It’s a deliberate act, slowing down to ponder each letter’s significance, contrasting our fast-paced, tech-driven society. The audience engages, suggesting words, adding to the narrative. This tactile communication emphasizes the effort behind each letter, fostering a deeper connection with our messages.
The “Div” or demon is a mythical creature with a human-like body that is stout and formidable. It has giant body parts, ears, eyes, and a mouth. In mythology, it represents the devilish side of mankind and is said to reside within every person. This project was inspired by these concepts. It was designed to depict the demon swallowing the letters and poetic phrases of the Shahnameh book, leaving only the frames. These frames were also inspired by ancient Iranian paintings and poems.

Tights and stockings in all their forms have been worn by us humans for several hundred years. Their textile history is as varied as their designs and usage, and yet they have always been attributed to gender norms of their time. This work is dedicated to the interesting history of tights and takes an artistic look at the various facets of them.
Forme is a photographic and curatorial project that occupies a cultural space between fashion and fine art. Forme Journal is the creative output of the project with an evolving format for each edition.
The jacquard fabric for this kimono was woven with cotton yarns, so despite of being thick, is very cosy. The jacket was made from different variations of the textile.

Love is Extrabold; This project aims to showcase the word “Love” using Persian letters in a bold and contemporary style to create a heavy and outspoken typeface. Studio Melli has created a collection that takes inspiration from the names and fascinating stories of lovers and beloveds in ancient Iranian art including tales, poems, and paintings. Anyone can fill in the blanks with their name and their lover’s name.

A series of 10 cyanotype scarves were designed, produced and tailored by hand with fully analogue methods. On the fabric itself, you can see the shadows of written letters, addressed to a person called Esther. Some letters are readable, other parts are more abstract and reduced to a purely typographical interpretation. Each of the 10 scarves has its own part of Esther’s story. Cyanotype is a chemical process and early form of photography in which UV light transferred negatives to the textiles.

A T-shirt collection where positivity meets minimalistic style with a twist. The thoughtful lyrics are printed upside down, so people can read it while wearing. Each shirt harbors a hidden message in it’s sleeve, urging wearers to take risks or embrace bravery.
