The two cities press their lands together. Beneath the ground, history flows like blood. I have seen Seoul as my own body and claimed that body through images. With this body of the city, I encountered Berlin. Its colonial past evoked resentment; its division, empathy. This love-hate
obsession led to a visual crossbreeding of the two cities. I imprinted the process onto paper, leather, and metal—through photographs, video, and typography. The book was exhibited as an independent artwork.
Jazz-Club Muddy Poster
This is a poster for a jazz performance held at Jazz Club “Muddy” in Gunsan. To emphasize the bass-centered jazz trio, the four strings of the bass—its defining characteristic—were expressed typographically in the design.
Finding Kim⛝⛝
“Finding Kim⛝⛝” is a book that explores the gap between the self and one’s public image.
It compiles and curates images of Kim Nayeon as interpreted through the eyes of others.
This book offers readers a small opportunity to reflect on the relationship they have had with Kim Nayeon and the image through which they have viewed her.
Intersecting Traces
TT Seoul 80th Liberation Anniversary Exhibition: “So It Unfolds” – Exhibition
[Intersecting Traces]
1945 to 2025, the intersecting timeline traced through remnants connects the past, the present, and what lies ahead.
Revealed through a layered and complex composition, both physical and deeply subjective.
Toe to Toe
The protagonist, Jung-su, endures anxiety by twisting his body, clenching his fists, and pacing back and forth. For some reason, this brought to mind a Hi-Tec pen—drawing thin, unstable lines until it eventually wears away and vanishes. Jung-su’s anxiety will be much the same. A heart that held only weight without substance will eventually fade into nothing.
Abnormal Orbit
〈Abnormal Orbit〉 is an exploratory log that likens individual identity to an undiscovered planet. Organized into five categories—love, family, education, job, and age—it brings together the narratives of about fifty participants. Through these stories, the project aims to highlight that even outside an expected orbit, every life carries its own direction and inherent value.
Goblin Door-knob Smart Ring
This project was developed by the designer, inspired by traditional door knockers found on large wooden gates of palaces and hanok architecture in Seoul, Korea. Referencing the Goblin-shaped knockers, the design translates their form into a smartphone ring accessory. Beyond their practical function, these figures traditionally serve as guardian symbols believed to ward off evil and bring good fortune. The project reinterprets this cultural meaning into a contemporary everyday object.

Doom or Burn LP by Masterplan Studio
This is an LP (vinyl) package design by Masterplan Studio. Inspired by Samuel Beckett’s Quadrat 1+2 and reinterpreted as ‘Doom or Burn,’ it explores religious aesthetics and geometric movement. *This is a self-initiated project developed by Masterplan Studio for our own branding.
chair 11
Inspired by culture and tradition, Chair 11 was combined with a contemporary form, resulting in a harmonious collaboration with the wonderful furniture brand — Garagegage. For this reason, I wanted to merge the modern silhouette of the chair with a folk ornament. Continuing the idea of lightness, I turned to the motif of clouds. I proposed a four-color palette that I frequently encountered in Korean temples during my travels.
The ship is a tomb, and the tomb is a ship.
A project for Graphic Methodology at D-hak explored connecting a random keyword—mine was “tomb”—with a ship. Over a month, I worked through the concept through sketches and iterations.
A tomb signifies stillness, the end of life. With an oar, it gains movement, and what was still begins to move. What seems like an end becomes a beginning. Like a ship ready to sail again, the tomb marks the start of another journey. The ship is a tomb, and the tomb is a ship.

The Unremarkable Stations Vol.2: Yongdap
Yongdap Station is split between a market (Exit 1) and nature (Exit 2); we defined these as ‘Reality’ and ‘Fantasy’ zones. The Reality Zone features typographic experiments on personal worries, while the Fantasy Zone captures dream-like imagery. Separated by a thick Foamex center representing a concrete wall, the book reads bi-directionally from both ends. This structure is a tactile attempt to communicate the boundary between heterogeneous spaces through physical materiality.

Joseon Tiger 2022 Poster Calendar
This 2022 calendar was created by the designer, combining iconic landmarks from Seoul, Jeju, and Pohang with elements of traditional Korean folk painting. The January to March pages feature Seoul’s landmarks, N Seoul Tower and Lotte World Tower, alongside motifs such as tigers, pine trees, and clouds inspired by minhwa. The composition blends Korean cultural symbolism with a contemporary graphic approach.

<2026 숭대극회 신입생 환영 공연> 포스터
The poster for the 2026 Soongsil Univ. Theatre Art Society Freshman Welcome Performance centers on the theme “Igniting with Theatre.”
Car keys serve as the primary objects to represent this starting point. Information is conveyed through a variety of unique, eclectic stickers, each reflecting a distinct personality. The design uses these colorful elements to symbolize the diverse energy of the new members as they begin their journey.
How can I tell you love
Physical album design for singer-songwriter Xeuda.
The cipher-like heart-shaped lettering represents the journey of one seeking love. Though the path can be dizzying and disorienting, the footprints he leaves behind gradually form a gentle rhythm that draws the shape of love.
The Typesetter’s Route Map
A poster based on the short story The Typesetter’s Bridge, depicting “The Typesetter’s Route Map” described within the narrative. This work was featured in a Korean Society of Typography exhibition.

Taegeuk Design Deubre
This project was developed by the designer, inspired by the Taegeuk ornamentation found at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul. Drawing from sneaker customization culture, the designer created a shoe accessory, or “Deubre” incorporating the traditional Taegeuk motif. By reinterpreting this heritage symbol in a contemporary way, the project proposes it as a wearable fashion element within everyday style.
