We were faced with the task of creating a digital studio for a furniture designer.

Matt Arquette has 20+ years of experience. The idea of the site is a visit to a craft workshop where the designer works. The typography combines modern and classic fonts, the color palette is monochrome with bright accents. Interactive elements and texture add depth. The site is like a drawing board, where the central space displays the content, and the supporting tools are on the edges.

The graphics for blankets are based on the name of the city in Cyrillic and Latin. Київ and Kyiv.

Coffee like a fragment of your every single day – this was the main idea of the client. Accordingly, I created the logo fragment), which transforms into the pattern – coffee fragments.
All the icons resemble the fragments of the day. When we wake up – we think about coffee. That’s why the icon of the coffee bean looks like the sun, which rises above the city. All the icons are associative arrays, evoked by coffee and coffee aroma.

here in ukraine, we have more and more frequent conversations about the demographic crisis. women are shown the need to be a mother, a protector (“beregynya”). but women are not the incubators, our “clocks are not ticking”, we are individuals who independently decide whether we need to become part of the “demographic issue” and give birth to children.

‘There is a short moment, when a huge change approaches, that you are left alone. It could be that you lost someone and grief about them, it could be that you have to move to another place. Before new things come closer to you, you stand silently and look. You see the reflection of yourself in the past and in the present, just as if you look at a lake. You contemplate. Finally, when you dare to take a step ahead, you find yourself in the unknown. In the water.’ –

Contra — a diverse type family with two connected contrasts. It has two extremes: normal “Text” style and dynamic, a bit brutal “Negative”. And in addition to them — “Mix”, which blends between these two contrasts and gives an unexpected result.

A phrase that reminds of the centuries-old struggle of Ukrainians for their identity, freedom and independence. It is a litmus test of belonging to the nation of heroes who gave and are giving their lives for the peaceful future of their children, for the future of their homeland and the whole world.

The painting “Passionate”, part of a series dedicated to emotions, explores the themes of passion and fervor. It incorporates elements of Petrykivka painting, where flowers vividly express emotions. The heart from which they bloom symbolizes profound feelings, while the pair of pheasants enhances the visual impact, portraying attraction and devotion.

I just really love constructivism, Escher, angles, Kharkiv, my drawing teacher before entering the university, corals from the Black Sea when my mom and I used to travel to Crimea. I just hope nothing will ever end.

This Vytynanka was inspired by one of Kyiv’s symbols — chestnut (and Catherine’s dog, who adores playing with them).

Sviatoslav Hordynskyi was a renowned Ukrainian artist and graphic designer. His works have inspired my new typeface design. The verse ‘А я у гай ходила’ is by the Ukrainian poet Pavlo Tychyna.

I love it when you have a great visual link between the exhibition’s catalogue and the exhibition itself. Here I’ve “imported” the yellow color of the artist’s total installation into the book. Sahaidakovsky is a Lviv-based artist and his approach lies in recycling everyday objects in an unusual way. Once I saw a hand-cut signage that invited to eat in a local cheap canteen in a small village. So, letters I found turned out to become a basis for creating this accident font. Recycling was a key.

The comic is a part of the ongoing series documenting war.

This work is inspired by a real building in Kyiv called the “UFO” (Літаюча тарілка) which is under the threat of demolition. In the artwork, the author exaggerates this building, transforming it into a large flying ufo somewhere in the future.

The poster shows a pendulum. The Russian bullet that hit Ukraine and started the war. Now this bullet is dangerous and threatens everyone.

These t-shirts were specially designed and produced as a collaboration between two Ukrainian art collectives: GALAS and O–PLICH– for a charity event in Warsaw. The print portrays a list memorable days for Ukrainians, balancing and depicting an essence of both tradition and nation. There was only three t-shirts made.
