Since Russia invaded Ukraine, it feels like the walls of every other underpass are closing in on any Ukrainian, screaming their ugly stuff at them, while they are taking it too personally.
At least that’s how the artist feels.

Every shard of war finds its way into the soul, leaving an incurable scar. Pain for every city and settlement, for innocent ordinary people ruthlessly taken in the midst of day or night. Simply because they are Ukrainians.
There are not enough fragments to list all the cities where innocent blood has been spilled.
Pain and sympathy

It should have been a happy Children’s Day, however due to having russia as a neighbor, we got this day another one rocket attack committed by russians. This illustration was created after it happened.

Grieving for unfulfilled dreams

This is what our lives feel like during a full-scale invasion – stuck between normal life, work, friends, happiness and the war, latest news, and nightmares.

We can’t live our life’s like there is no war but also we can’t pretend like there is no life at the very same time.

Recently, I want to illustrate not the most terrible events that are happening around me, but the internal state, even if everything seems to be okay on the outside.

This simple picture depicts the big moment of the long-awaited meeting of two people. In this unstable world where anything can happen we all go through changes. And our feelings become our support. This illustration is dedicated to the main character of the work “Forest Song” by Lesya Ukrainka. Mavka is a character from Ukrainian mythology. This is what the spirits of dead unbaptized children were previously called. This is the spirit that was the guardian of the forest.

“Brave little Chestnut” is illustrated picture/comic book for children. The main aim of this project is to help little readers to learn courage and to face treir fears along side the book’s main protagonist. Our future hero can’t overcome his fears, which worry him, but during his adventure he begins to understand his fears better. Fear is a normal reaction of our bodies. He learns how to stand up for himself and others despite the fear and obstacles on his way.

Valeriia Kucher is a Kyiv-based graphic designer who creates bold and playful designs by embracing imperfections and letting the media take its own course. Her charmingly brute style is experimental and captures the unpredictable nature of the media, resulting in unique and often naive designs.

Have you ever discovered the hidden message of ‘freedom’ within the Ukrainian Coat of Arms? Moreover, the national anthem of Ukraine contains the line ‘We’ll not spare either our souls or bodies to get our freedom,’ and you can find similar themes woven throughout our folklore, songs, and literature. Why? Because Ukraine’s journey to freedom has been a long and hard one throughout its history. Who would think that in 2022, ukrainians would once again find themselves fighting for it

No matter how hard it is, always hang on

The work raises the question “what is home?”. The experiences of losing a home, resettlement in 2014 and 2022 due to the Russian-Ukrainian war have led to thoughts about what can become a home for a person, apart from buildings and a city. In this work, the chestnut is a new symbol of home, because it is associated with the author’s two cities of residence and personal memories from her life.

The Junior Academy of Sciences (JAS) stands as Ukraine’s primary educational institution for children. Our rebranding embodies the notion that complexity arises from simplicity, making science accessible to all. We’ve revamped JAS into a vibrant, forward-looking, and distinctive entity, encompassing a full-scale rebrand, including the corporate website. In 2021, this project earned the RedDot award in Brand Design Relaunch.
