Vogue Brasil Sans & Serif is a dualistic display typeface family crafted by Studio DRAMA for the Vogue Brasil team, giving them a unique and flexible typographic tool to elevate creative editorial across print and digital publications.
Influenced by the vibrant vernacular typography found in the bustling streets of São Paulo, as well as drawing from the refined legacy of the iconic Vogue brand and broader Brazilian typographic sources, resulting in an authentic and culturally resonant design.

The hand-knitted typographic vest is titled ‘Rethink,’ with the word ‘Re’ on the back represented as a barcode, alluding to today’s mass-produced garments and their standardized appearance. On the front of the vest, the word ‘Think’ appears in a difficult-to-read, jumbled pattern, reflecting customs of the past. The project aims to raise awareness of the importance of rethinking garment production and the path toward a more sustainable future.

Statements like “Faster & Faster” and “speeding through life,” along with elements that resemble racing flag patterns, emphasize this obsession. “The Power of my Hands” is a celebratory homage to my German grandmother who was a typical subordinate housewife and my punk mother who was a pioneer in the male dominated world of IT. Together they taught me the importance of being oneself and standing up for women’s rights. Through my knitwear I am looking into traditional craftsmanship and it’s relation to politics. Throughout my process I ask the question: How can feminism be expressed through craft today?

Atacama, a desert located in South America, is home to a rich variety of flora. Sadly, it is also turning into a fast-growing, illegal dump of fast fashion from all over the world. Many of those textiles are toxic, as they consist of non-biodegradable synthetic materials.
The t-shirt design is inspired by American “greetings from” postcards. At first glance it seems to be pleasing the eye. A closer look will reveal the discrepancy and make people think.
With my Work „w*menRight¡“ I postulate the legalization of abortion and ask to respect a woman‘s decision. The paragraph §218 is printed on the scarf by the technique of silkscreen printing. Which is covered up by a second layer of see through fabric that is connected to the first layer by purple seams crossing out obsolete fragments of the paragraph that should be modified and renewed by the embroider words.

By adding an algorithmic layer on top of COLRv1 fonts, Homo Scriptus delivers, digital textile, which can be used for wearables. For this collection, Underware worked closely with the Dutch fashion designer and artist Tessa Bekker. This collection has 33 unique models, which are based on the subject write, copy, play. All models are build upon the typeface Plakato and are sold as unique NFTs on OpenSea.
“Death Will Not Kill You”, is a piece designed in response to the tough times in life. Losing a loved one makes your heart grow bigger, as they now reside there forever, they remain alive within you. It is also a commentary on artists, who fight against the odds, build a space for themselves, they are a true inspiration. Their art, their presence, does not die with them, they live on in their art, through their art, forever.
“We are born artisans as we are born geometricians, and indeed we are geometricians only because we are artisans.” Inspired by the philosophy of Henri Bergson, this series of prints explores perception, the time that creates structures, and creative, artistic creation. It was created as a complement to Dora Balla’s doctoral thesis and was presented as part of the Printa gallery collection. The typography and geometry-based graphics were screen printed in silver on the t-shirts.
Lehmann feels strongly attracted to words, and always wonders how much language constitutes our reality. In the last twenty years he has explored written texts in metaphorical and aesthetic dimensions, in order to present language as a material object, embodied in our lives.
