We are excited to announce a new open call for submissions for an upcoming edition of Slanted Magazine dedicated to SPORTS—with a strong focus on TYPOGRAPHY.

Sport has produced some of the most distinctive visual languages—but also an incredible amount of generic and interchangeable branding. We want to look beyond that! We are searching for outstanding typography in sports: typefaces, custom lettering, numbers, jerseys, posters, publications, signage, stadium graphics, identities, events, digital applications, and more.

We are particularly interested in work beyond the obvious and commercial: local clubs, niche sports, fan cultures, subcultures, independent labels, vernacular typography, experimental projects, and hidden gems. What happens when typography doesn’t just brand sport, but becomes part of its culture, identity, movement, and attitude? Show us TYPE in SPORTS.

All creatives are invited to submit their work along with a statement or quote via the online form. Text submissions in the form of essays and articles on cultural and creative topics related to SPORTS + DESIGN can be submitted via email to [email protected].
