Marisa Ferreira Identity

The identity design for Marisa Ferreira Studio encapsulates the essence of the artist’s interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach while embracing the central themes that drive her creative journey. This visually captivating representation mirrors Ferreira’s exploration of materiality, memory, colonialism, displacement, social justice, and urban regeneration, as well as her profound focus on abandoned architectural structures as gateways to understanding our collective past.

22 buro identity

For five years we worked without an identity (only a logo). We are growing – bigger projects, bigger team, so we create BIG branding design identity. The idea is a “primitive” design at the level of handouts (like ads near the subway) printed at standard neon paper. Illustrations – analogies with our creative process. Simple but loud style.

Stand of heroes

The Foundation “Stands of Heroes” is a support for the families of fallen football fans from all over Ukraine. Idea of identity – We did free identity for this volunteer fund. The main elements are the logo that resembles an obelisk and forms the contours of our country, as well as silhouettes of figures of heroes whose faces we do not know. This poster is new and never published anywhere.

Slanted in Amsterdam: thonik

Setting off on a thrilling expedition into Amsterdam’s design realm, the Slanted team dived into the heart of the Dutch capital, exploring its artistic riches in our 41st magazine. Our pursuit of inspiration guided us to visit the design studio thonik. Stepping into their studio, we immersed ourselves in a dialog with with Nikki Gonnissen and Thomas Widdershoven about their multidisciplinary way of working and their approach to projects.

thonik is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Amsterdam, focused on change. They operate globally, with major projects in Europe and Asia. Working with like-minded and often long-term partners thonik aims for social, cultural, and political impact. They adhere to a digital-first design strategy. Often the moving image serves as the starting point for graphic, digital and spatial design.

More about thonik can be found in the Slanted Magazine #41—Amsterdam. Additionally we shot a video interview with Nikki Gonnissen and Thomas Widdershoven, talking about their point of view on art and opinions about the future. Take a look at the Amsterdam issue and the video platform for diverse opinions, impressions, inspiration, and motivation.

“Veselo”

«Veselo» (from Ukr. «весело» – merrily, gaily, joyfully) – self-reflection/self-ironic series
of work, that I did at my worst, that shows that worst.
You scream when you’re frustrated and you also scream when you’re amazed, you scream when you’re angry and you scream when you’re happy. But whatever you name it, it’s always obvious what emotion it is now.
