SOFT SOIL, poster campaign
SOFT SOIL was a discursive format within NGbK (Neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst) in Berlin. SOFT SOIL describes the ambivalence of the sandy ground Berlin is built on: both the attrition of urban structures through privatization and speculation, and the malleability of urban space through everyday practices and resistance. The format addresses colonial continuities, and questions relating to the neoliberal transformation of the city since 1990. What ideals shape the production of so-called public space, and what might »Stadt für alle« (»city for all«) mean? This poster represents the final stage of this format bringing together critical voices over the course of 2020.
Ar/KATE Mannheim
We are very excited to have been given the opportunity to publish this excitingly designed skate book today. Ar/KATE Mannheim is now available at Slanted Shop!
Ar/KATE Mannheim is a specific guidebook connecting architecture and skateboarding. The pocket guide contains ten different urban locations with photographs and a map where a variety of skate spots can be found. Short additional texts inform the interested viewer about both the architecture and the skate spots which also convey new perspectives on existing architecture. Thus, both skaters and those interested in architecture can use the guide equally.
The architecture influences and shapes the creativity and type of skating. It creates the backdrop and at the same time is part of the action. It is both environment and obstacle. Skateboarding itself transforms and reinterprets the built environment and its architectural elements. Skaters’ perceptions of urban structure are also different from the urban impressions that non-skaters have—because skaters are always looking for new skate spots. Thus, every architectural or street structure object is scanned for its “skateable” potential.
Skateparks try more and more to imitate these architectural elements, but often it is nothing more than an attempt. The true character of street skating takes place in real confrontation with real architecture in real urban situations. The architecture influences the scene, the vibe, and the feeling while the skaters are there. The act of skateboarding is deeply connected to the built environment.
Mannheim, a medium-sized city in southwestern Germany, is located between Frankfurt and Stuttgart and is known for its square city layout, its Baroque castle and its buildings from the Brutalist period, such as the Collini Center and the “Neckarbebauung” (Neckar Building). On the other hand, Mannheim is also characterized by its large and networked skateboard scene. No other place shows this more than the “Mezz,” the “old Messplatz” in Neckarstadt, a district of Mannheim. It is the local spot par excellence. And it is the starting and end point for spot explorations within Mannheim.
A smart pocket guide about the famous skate spots of Mannheim and the architecture behind them!

CHROMA I-X
IT’S SHINY, IT GLIMMERS. IT’S TRANSPARENT, BUT FULL OF COLORS.
KEEP THINGS FRESH AND HOLDS SO MANY THINGS TOGETHER THAT WE USE EVERY SINGLE DAY.
IT SURROUNDS US IN OUR MODERN LIFE IN MANY WAYS, BUT AS WE NOW KNOW: IT’S A TRAP.
THE SERIES “CHROMA I-X” DEMONSTRATES THE MYSTICAL, COLORFUL EFFECT OF PLASTIC – WHICH IS ONLY VISIBLE IN A CERTAIN LIGHT SITUATION THAT WE DON’T SEE IN ITS DAILY USE.

Go with your own Flow
2021 seems to be another incredibly uncertain year for many of us. Nevertheless, there always seems to be the “right” or “reasonable” way to choose for our lives, the job and love. How much better would we feel if we only relied on ourselves and our own decisions?
HKU Architecture Program Admission
The series of posters for admission promotion of several programs of the architecture school, The University of Hong Kong, features different gradients of bright and vibrant hues, creating a sense of spectrum to celebrate the diversity and versatility of the school and projects a hopefulness to the prospective students.
Abc Cards
Educational cards created to strengthen the learning of the abc for kids. The cards have a fun and typographical approach, the design use repetition as a form to memorize the forms of the characters and display different words to enrich the kids vocabularies.
Colorful and Unique
Can we openly communicate about our different individual identities ?
The global consciousness and changes that happens in our society today, brought us to foster transformational thinking in class, encouraging tolerance, and respect on issues related to “Diversity” and “Gender identities.”
In this simple graphic exercise students have worked on their own portrait to tackle those delicate subjects.
Using their own subjective inner feelings, limited to four single colors, they translated each of their portrait into a colorful halftone
effect. They found themselves embracing naturally the differences of their personal values, independently of beliefs and cultural background.
Only Light
Typographic composition toying with the notion of whether colour exists at all. Taken from the ongoing series “Epigrams”.
Three Colors
Poster design for Kieslowski’s Three Colors trilogy.
Hopeful for Playful
During the pandemic I was trying to deal with mental illness, similar to so many other people. My playful nature and creative drive as a maker was getting sucked dry by corporate work life and everything else going on. This work was created and prompted by a friend encouraging me and others to create posters inspired by the word hope. The word hope paired with the exclusion of judgement allowed me to strip away bullshit and get back to what I do best, play and create.
Robot
My work is inspired by the sewing homework of my granny, I just mixed the family tradition with my creative side. I like the relief provided by the fabrics on my frames. It’s a work of precision and a lot of patience. The artwork « Robot » is also inspired by one of my favorite illustrator Malika Favre. I loved this retro and nostalgic side of the robots from my childhood.

Colavita Cycling Kits
Cycling kit for Las Vegas Women’s Cycling team in Las Vegas, NV. Colavita is the main sponsor. Bright colors were used for motorist awareness. Neon lime, pink, blue, purple and teal were used to stand out against a black background and contrast with the Las Vegas desert landscape. Bike parts were illustrated and arranged to depict a Day of the Dead motif, with a skull as the primary artwork and identifier of this popular
holiday. As this is a women’s cycling team
(the sponsor company is Colavita), I incorporated the idea of bike parts as if they were different shapes of pasta.
