Doom or Burn LP by Masterplan Studio
This is an LP (vinyl) package design by Masterplan Studio. Inspired by Samuel Beckett’s Quadrat 1+2 and reinterpreted as ‘Doom or Burn,’ it explores religious aesthetics and geometric movement. *This is a self-initiated project developed by Masterplan Studio for our own branding.
chair 11
Inspired by culture and tradition, Chair 11 was combined with a contemporary form, resulting in a harmonious collaboration with the wonderful furniture brand — Garagegage. For this reason, I wanted to merge the modern silhouette of the chair with a folk ornament. Continuing the idea of lightness, I turned to the motif of clouds. I proposed a four-color palette that I frequently encountered in Korean temples during my travels.
The ship is a tomb, and the tomb is a ship.
A project for Graphic Methodology at D-hak explored connecting a random keyword—mine was “tomb”—with a ship. Over a month, I worked through the concept through sketches and iterations.
A tomb signifies stillness, the end of life. With an oar, it gains movement, and what was still begins to move. What seems like an end becomes a beginning. Like a ship ready to sail again, the tomb marks the start of another journey. The ship is a tomb, and the tomb is a ship.

Triangle-Studio’s identity, which features diverse visual tones centered on graphic identity and brand design, is fully reflected in the typography and graphic-focused T-shirts. The shoot took place at (1)by3 First by Three, a cafe operated by Triangle-Studio, completing the collaboration of brand × design × space.
The Unremarkable Stations Vol.2: Yongdap
Yongdap Station is split between a market (Exit 1) and nature (Exit 2); we defined these as ‘Reality’ and ‘Fantasy’ zones. The Reality Zone features typographic experiments on personal worries, while the Fantasy Zone captures dream-like imagery. Separated by a thick Foamex center representing a concrete wall, the book reads bi-directionally from both ends. This structure is a tactile attempt to communicate the boundary between heterogeneous spaces through physical materiality.

logo chair 11
I developed the logo based on the iconic form of the chair for the wonderful furniture brand — Garagegage — this shape became the foundation of the typography and set the overall character of the visual system.
Joseon Tiger 2022 Poster Calendar
This 2022 calendar was created by the designer, combining iconic landmarks from Seoul, Jeju, and Pohang with elements of traditional Korean folk painting. The January to March pages feature Seoul’s landmarks, N Seoul Tower and Lotte World Tower, alongside motifs such as tigers, pine trees, and clouds inspired by minhwa. The composition blends Korean cultural symbolism with a contemporary graphic approach.

<2026 숭대극회 신입생 환영 공연> 포스터
The poster for the 2026 Soongsil Univ. Theatre Art Society Freshman Welcome Performance centers on the theme “Igniting with Theatre.”
Car keys serve as the primary objects to represent this starting point. Information is conveyed through a variety of unique, eclectic stickers, each reflecting a distinct personality. The design uses these colorful elements to symbolize the diverse energy of the new members as they begin their journey.
How can I tell you love
Physical album design for singer-songwriter Xeuda.
The cipher-like heart-shaped lettering represents the journey of one seeking love. Though the path can be dizzying and disorienting, the footprints he leaves behind gradually form a gentle rhythm that draws the shape of love.
The Typesetter’s Route Map
A poster based on the short story The Typesetter’s Bridge, depicting “The Typesetter’s Route Map” described within the narrative. This work was featured in a Korean Society of Typography exhibition.
Lumiere de Vigne – Branding by Masterplan Studio
This is the wine branding ‘Lumiere de Vigne’ by Masterplan Studio. We designed this to express a contemporary wine identity, translating to ‘Light of the Vine.’
Taegeuk Design Deubre
This project was developed by the designer, inspired by the Taegeuk ornamentation found at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul. Drawing from sneaker customization culture, the designer created a shoe accessory, or “Deubre” incorporating the traditional Taegeuk motif. By reinterpreting this heritage symbol in a contemporary way, the project proposes it as a wearable fashion element within everyday style.

<푸른 눈동자 속에> 포스터
The poster for In the Blue Eyes captures a poignant journey toward purity and love. This quest is distilled into a minimalist yet powerful visual language, using concise imagery to evoke profound emotional depth.
iljjimasio
‘iljjimasio’ means ‘do not read’ in Korean. This work starts with the experience of reading something. There were experiences of intentionally not reading, passing by, or pretending to read. Based on these methods, I was asked what format is for ‘reading well’, and then I thought that one way was to taboo ‘DO NOT READ’ at all. This is an experiment that visualizes the taboo command and how to make something read in contrast to the title.
Masterplan The Architectural Robot
This is the ‘Masterplan The Architectural Robot.’ It was created by focusing on our signature geometry, mechanical components, wit, and architectural beauty. By reinterpreting existing robot toys, it transforms from architecture when folded to a robot when unfolded. This is the package box layout. *This is a self-initiated project developed by Masterplan Studio for our own branding.
this is not a chair
This graphic identety was created for Garagegage’s solo exhibition at the MUT Museum in Seoul. The brief was to convey the unique qualities of the new product, Chair 11 — its sense of weightlessness and lightness, expressed both through the design itself and the promotional photography. The composition allows the poster to be rotated and displayed from any angle. This interactive approach encourages viewers to engage with the design and experience, echoing its airy and gravity-defying character.

<항아리> 포스터
The poster for The Jar centers on a red vessel shattered into three distinct fragments. Each shard is shaped into the characters “Hang(항)”, “A(아)”, and “Ri(리)”. While the three syllables are completely severed from one another, the individual strokes within each character cling together with a loose, flimsy desperation.
The design mocks the characters’ absurdity; though they are all equally broken, they operate under the pathetic delusion of being whole.
