High Noon #72 Special with Ruben Pater
Talk at the Faculty of Design in Darmstadt
Ruben Pater (1977, NL) works between journalism and graphic design. Under the name of Untold Stories he creates visual narratives that support solidarity, justice, and equality. He is a designer at a moment in time, when more design is about the last thing the world needs. In search for ethical alternatives he designs, writes, and teaches (currently at Elisava in Barcelona). ‘The Politics of Design’ (2016) is his first book about cultural bias in graphic design. His second book ‘Caps Lock’ (2021) looks at the role of graphic design in capitalism. High Noon are lunchtime & special evening talks since 2008 at the Faculty of Design at Hochschule Darmstadt.
