The tote bag has been designed by Blaqk. Their works are a combination of graphic elements—calligraphic forms, letters, lines, geometric shapes, patterns, negative space, textures. They create impressive backdrops/murals with their artworks on a lot of surfaces like big walls in Athens and other cities. For Slanted’s special edition they produced an unique piece of art silkscreened on a tote bag.

Catching this contrarian mood was the idea of photographer Daniel Rupp for this photo essay. It gives a glimpse into the daily life of a city that has had a fundamental role for Europe.

This riso booklet is an excerpt from the diploma thesis “Greetings from Greece” by Xenia Fastnacht from the University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe, in which she deals with the contrast between country-specific stereotypes and new creative approaches in Greece.
