The sixth issue focalizes on “Signs, Symbols, Ornaments”. In our first magazine section we illuminate the topic by articles, visual essays, portraits of fontlabels and typedesigners, photographic sector as well as in our captions “Fontnames Illustrated” and “Typolyrics”.

The focus of the current magazine is on signs, symbols and ornamental fonts. These topics are examined in a first section in articles, visual essays, in font or font label portraits as well as in the categories Fontnames Illustrated, Typolyrics or photo galleries. With contributions from Marian Bantjes (who also designed the cover this time), Prof. Johannes Bergerhausen, Typosition, Romibello and many others. The second section offers interviews (among others with Hubert Jocham, PetPunk, Kurt Weidemann, Raban Ruddigkeit and Jan Middendorp), a portrait of the Museum für Druckkunst Leipzig as well as (final) works by students and other typostories. The third part of the magazine provides a link to the internet blog www.slanted.de. Here you can find much-discussed entries, The Reader’s Response or the ideas of writings, books and magazines.
